Integral Skin system is suitable for objects that require a high level of surface detail such as a leather texture or wood grain, and that require an aesthetic, refined finish. It is also well suited for thin parts, and polyurethane that will cover metal frames and inserts.
A textured mold accurately reproduces a surface pattern and can feel like real leather.
This type of products can be obtained with resin or metal thermostatic molds.
Integral Skin system is processed at a temperature ranging from 40 to 50 °C.
The molded part is usually black or neutral, but, using “in mould coating” capabilities, standard RAL or NCS colours can also be achieved.
This system allows the positioning of inserts inside the mold before injecting foam (various inserts and metal frames).
Integral Skin system uses high and low pressure dosing machines (Saip equipment).

how it’s made
The realisation of components involves some phases to prepare the mold with special products, later the resin that will shape the product is injected through a dosing machine.
